1930 born in Hlinskov Č, CR

1949 leaving examinationcum laude

1956 graduated of the mathematical- physical faculty of Charles University in Prague (RNDr)

Diplomwork : X-ray diffraction determination of the atom socillations in tin lattice.

1960 a half year stay on the Lomonosov state university Moscow SU on the department of solid state physics leading by prof. G.S. Zdanov working in the structure analysis using the X-ray and electron diffraction.

1965 defence of the doctorak disertation (CSc equivalent PhD): The influence of the milling on electroluminescence of the zinc sulphide powders (superviser prof A.Kochanovská, DrSc) on the Institute of Solid state Physics of the Academy of science in Prague.

1965 - 2000 asistent, professor asistent, professor of the applied physics in TU Liberec, UJEP Ústí nad labem and TU Prague.

Working in the in the X-ray diffractography, electroluminescence, mechanoluminescence, laser technique, material science, textile composites, carbon physics (carbon fibres, fullerenes,...) history of physicotechnical science.

Author of 4 textbooks, monographs, translation from english and russian, more than 150 original papers, patents andpopular articles.

1996 stay at professor W.Kraetschmer on University of Heidelberg Germany on fullerenes.

1998 defence of the doctoral dissertation on TU Brno: Mechanoluminescence and its application in physics and technique (DrSc)
